Accessible trailer amenities

Disabled and accessible toilets have more space than our standard toilets and have an extra wide door and an aluminium ramp.   The cabin contains a toilet support, a handle fitting, an easy to access shower (wash down facility optional on 240 model) and a separate technical room. The chassis is lower to reduce the angle of the ramp.

Design

The trailer has a simple and stylish design, giving the user a feeling of space and comfort.  The trailer uses LED strips for a comfortable white and energy-efficient light. The excellent insulation, heat source and ventilation make the cabin comfortable in both summer and winter.

Increased mobility and access

The accessible trailer comes as standard in two different sizes, with and without a shower.  Most trailers have a technical compartment at the front or side by the entrance. Extra facilities can be added, such as a shower and ceiling hoist. The trailer can also be built on a lowered chassis to reduce the angle of the ramp making it easier for wheelchair users to enter and leave the trailer unassisted.

Easy to use, manage and clean

The trailer connects to a standard 50mm tow bar and can be set up and ready in minutes. This allows you to move the cabin from one place to another, quickly and efficiently and without any hassle. The cabin is made from cleaning-friendly and durable materials, saving you time and money on cleaning and maintenance.

PREMIUM QUALITY

Scanvogn Optimal Density Wall Panels with aluminium capping

Optimum density

We cut all the insulated trailer outer wall panels without a seam and fit them so that the all angles seal closely around the floor. We also cut the corners seamlessly and assemble them with sturdy anodised aluminium profiles. This results in an enclosed cabin with maximum trailer body strength and density and ensures you and your team get the highest quality.

Scanvogn Solid Single Piece Cast Roof with Gutter and Insulation

Solid-cast curved roof

All our mobile trailer cabins come with a solid, single piece-cast roof. This ensures your portable unit is weatherproof in all conditions, this also significantly increases its lifetime. The roof is cast with an even curve for optimal strength and water drainage. The roof also has a gutter system, which helps direct water and dirt away from doors and windows.

Scanvogn Fully Hot Dipped Galvanised Steel Chassis

Optimum protection

We only maintain the highest standards for corrosion protection. All our portable trailer cabins come with a sturdy hot dipped galvanised steel chassis. Galvanising is only completed once the chassis has been machined, this ensures that all the edges and bolt holes have also been galvanised and sealed against the elements for the ultimate in longevity.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does a wheelchair user access the bathroom trailer?
Via an access ramp to a level entry. Inside, hand support rails are fitted around the toilet and shower, and the layout provides manoeuvring space for a wheelchair.
Is it suitable for NDIS participants and providers?
Yes. NDIS participants, support providers and disability-inclusive venues use it for dignified, independent access with a ramp, grab rails, easy-access basin and shower. Optional extras such as a ceiling hoist and a lower-angle ramp adapt it to individual needs.
Can councils use it for events and public facilities?
Yes. Councils deploy it to meet DDA accessibility obligations and event-approval conditions at parks, beaches, festivals and community events — road-towable and relocatable without permanent construction.
Do events legally need accessible toilet facilities?
Public events in Australia are generally expected to provide accessible sanitary facilities under DDA obligations and council event-approval conditions. A towable accessible bathroom trailer is a fast way to meet that requirement at temporary sites.
What does the accessible trailer need on site to operate?
A 240V power connection and a water supply. Waste discharges via the onboard macerator pump to a sewer point or holding tank; all hoses and cables are supplied for plug-and-play setup.
Does it have a shower as well as a toilet?
Yes — toilet, shower and hand basin in one unit, with thermostatically controlled hot water.
